He has had to bid a fond farewell to Homeland after he was spectacularly killed off the hit show in the season two finale.

But David Harewood at least now has more time to focus on his family.

And on Tuesday the British born actor became a husband as he tied the knot with long-term partner Kirsty Handy in a Barbados wedding.

The happy couple married in an intimate afternoon ceremony which took place at Stanford House, Polo Ridge in St James, with their two children by their side.

Weddings may be a stressful time for the majority of couples, but David and his new wife looked happy and relaxed on the eve of their big day.

They spent their last day before becoming man and wife at the beach with their two girls, enjoying the sunshine and piling on the PDA.

The happy couple then took a trip on the ocean on a glass-bottomed boat, and even squeezed in a spot of snorkelling to get a closer look at the tropical sea life.

David, 47, showed off his impressive pecs as he stripped to a pair of black swimming trunks, while Kirsty wore a coral bikini.

It may have been the day before their wedding but the pair already appeared to be in the honeymoon phase as they shared some cuddles and laughs together while on deck.

His role as David Estes, Director of the CIA's Counterterrorism Center, in Homeland has cemented his star status but it's clear his newfound fame hasn't gone to David's head.

In fact the actor couldn't have been less of a diva as he was seen blowing up his own balloons ahead of the ceremony.

David and Kirsty, whose children Maize and Raven are aged seven and four, have been engaged for several years.

A mother who suffered years of humiliation because of large varicose veins protruding from her vulva has finally regained her confidence after undergoing an operation to have them removed on Embarrassing Bodies.

Donna, 36, noticed huge veins on her legs at the age of 13, and when she compared them to her sisters realised she wasn't 'normal'.

At 17 she had the leg veins stripped, which worked for a few years, but they eventually reappeared. It was during her second pregnancy four years ago that she discovered the veins emerging from her vulva.

Donna says when she's having sex with her husband the veins get in the way and can be painful.

She said: 'I never thought I'd be embarrassed in front of my husband but I am because it sticks out between my legs.

'It looks like a clitoris hanging, but it is not. I know that but I don't think my partner realises; I feel a bit like a freak.'

Even though Donna is young and fit with a good body, she claims her legs look like those of a 95-year-old woman. 

She says the veins in her legs and vulva can swell and be very painful, and trousers or long dresses are the only thing she feels comfortable in because she knows her legs are hidden.

Even wearing tights isn’t an option as her 'bumpy' legs look even worse, and on holiday she won’t wear bikinis, shorts or skirts as everyone notices her legs. When sunbathing she always covers her legs with a towel. 

Donna says she just wants is to feel like the 36-year-old she is, and if the veins on her vulva are corrected she’ll have a pain free sex life with her husband.

SHe says that if the veins on her legs can be mended she’ll be able to wear what she wants, not feel self-conscious or embarrassed any more, and will be more confident to get on with her life.

Donna went to see Consultant Vascular Surgeon, Mr Mark Whiteley at The Whiteley Clinic in Guildford.

She had her consultation, a duplex ultrasound scan of both legs, a transvaginal scan with Judy Holdstock (Chief Sonographer) and a second consultation with Mr Whiteley to discuss her scan results.

Mr Whiteley confirmed that three out of Donna's four pelvic veins were varicose and referred her to his colleague Mr Tony Lopez. 

Donna underwent her pelvic vein treatment with Dr Tony Lopez at BMI Mount Alvernia in Guildford and he successfully blocked off Donna’s pelvic veins using coil embolization (inserting platinum coils which irritate the vein wall and causes blood to essential ly clot, rendering the vein redundant).

Donna then went back to the Whiteley Clinic to have her leg vein treatment with Mr Mark Whiteley.

Following the procedures to remove the veins, Donna says she feels much more confident around her husband

Speaking about the results of her treatment she said: 'I am really pleased, my legs are perfect with no lumps.

'Before it was like the vein was filled with blood but now it isn't, it used to look like the back of a crocodile.'

She added: 'I feel more confident. The other day I walked around with a little shirt on just with  knickers and that's the first time I have felt confident and sexy around my husband.'

Lauren Pope gave her ex-boyfriend Kirk Norcross a fright when she admitting having a pregnancy test after they slept together.

But after keeping him on tenterhooks as she berated him for not returning her messages, the blonde DJ finally admitted the test was negative on Wednesday's episode of The Only Way Is Essex.

The couple, who dated for nine months in 2011, started sleeping together just before Christmas.

However, with Kirk determined they should just remain 'friends with benefits', he has been playing it cool over the past few weeks and not returning her messages.

But after doing a pregnancy test with the support of close fried Chloe Sims, she demanded an emergency meeting in the pub with an anxious Kirk.

After Chloe excused herself from the table to talk to her cousin Joey Essex, Lauren tore into Kirk for being so rude.

She said: 'I've not really heard from you. I texted you but I didn't get a reply...'

However, Kirk protested his innocence: 'I thought we were pals. I didn't think we had to text and that.'

She's just replaced Fearne Cotton on Celebrity Juice and it certainly looks like she'll be making her presence known.

Kelly Brook wore a super skintight minidress and towering heels as she left her London home on Wednesday, heading off to work on the ITV2 show.

Proving just how body confident she is, the star went bare-legged and without a jacket as she pounded the streets, drawing as much attention to herself as possible in the brightly coloured outfit.

Never one to try to blend into the crowd, the former glamour girl grinned as she made her way to her car in the summery outfit, clearly not feeling the biting cold.

Looking just as glamorous as usual, Kelly had blow-dried her hair to perfection in large, sultry waves which bounced over her shoulders as she walked.

Obviously proud of her eye-catching dress, the 33-year-old did little to distract attention from herself, carrying her black jacket instead of wearing it so that passers by could get the full effect.

The designer beamed as she answered a phone call during her walk, clearly excited about getting to work on the Keith Lemon show.

The star was recently announced as Fearne's replacement on the popular panel show, while the Radio One DJ takes some time out after the birth of her son Rex last week.

Although Kelly looked on fine form as she emerged from her house on Wednesday, she'd spent the weekend in bed feeling ill.

Posting a picture of herself on her Instagram page, she wrote: 'Saturday Night Fever #sick.'

But by Monday she seemed to have recovered, writing: 'I've had a fever all weekend!! Feeling better and ramping up for @celebjuice this Week!! Xx'

The star, who recently split from long-term boyfriend Thom Evans, is rumoured to have reconciled with ex Danny Cipriani, although they've yet to officially announce anything.

At the age of just 20, Hannah Cockroft is a multiple world record holder, double paralympic gold medallist and an MBE thanks to her talent for wheelchair racing.

But while no-one can doubt her sporting prowess, Hannah, who has cerebral palsy, said she often meets people who assume she's stupid because she's in a wheelchair.

'Some people pat you on head or treat like dog and can be patronising,' she told the MailOnline. 'But just because your legs don't work, it doesn't mean your brain doesn't work.

'I can laugh that kind of thing off but for others it can be degrading and upsetting, we just want to be seen as another member of society. Disabled people can be just as intellectual and clever as anyone else.'

Hannah, from Halifax, said there has been great strides in improving people's perceptions of those with disabilities thanks to the London 2012 Paralympics.

She said: 'After Beijing Paralympians had attention for two weeks and then everyone forgot about us for four years. But after London everything is still going on six months down the line. It's like we're being given a chance now. Perceptions have changed. You still get one or two people that are like, "look at her she's a wheelchair, what can she do" but most people are positive.'

Hannah is supporting the children's charity Whizz-Kidz's manifesto 'Generation Inspired?' that aims to build on this positive platform and continue raising awareness of those with disabilities.

The manifesto contains the hopes and opinions of young disabled people gathered in the months following the 2012 Paralympics, with their recommendations for embedding the Games’ ethos and inclusivity into everyday services. Hannah personally delivered the report to Downing Street today for the Government to consider. 

Whizz-Kidz gave Hannah her first sports wheelchair at the age of 15 which she said completely transformed her life - not only because it set her on a path to become a world champion but because it gave her more day-to-day freedom.

'The NHS are brilliant at providing wheelchairs but it's not always a good fit,' she explained. 'Whizz-Kidz provide chairs that fit perfectly giving people the chance to get out and be independent.

'For me, getting a sports wheelchair gave me independence so I could go out with my friends more and I could play sports like wheelchair basketball.

'It opened a lot of doors so I could go out and not have to rely on someone else pushing me and not find things like getting up kerbs so difficult.'

Sports wheelchairs have cambered wheels, sleeker tyres and are sturdier than the average day wheelchair - but also more expensive.

There are an estimated 70,000 disabled children and young people in the UK waiting for a wheelchair that fits their young lives and it's these youngsters that Whizz-Kidz are trying to help.

Hannah admits her life would have been completely different had she not received her wheelchair from the charity.

'Wheelchairs, particular sports ones, cost so much and that's the barrier stopping a lot of children being more independent or playing sport,' she said.

Hannah played wheelchair basketball before taking up wheelchair racing. She's had a short but successful career so far winning the World Champs 100m and 200m titles in the T34 category in 2011 and then repeating this feat in front of a home crow d at the London Paralympics. She's now training to defend her world titles in Leon this year and looking forward to Rio 2016.

Hannah is delighted that her achievements, and those of Paralympians such as David Weir, Richard Whitehead and Jonnie Peacock are now inspiring young people to get into sport, in the same way she was inspired by Tanni Grey-Thompson in her youth.

But a Whizz-Kidz poll found that 'enthusiasm to get active is tempered by a lack of opportunity. More than two thirds of parents surveyed said their children’s schools don’t play any of the Paralympic sports.'

The charity's report adds: 'While children may want to take up Boccia, wheelchair basketball, archery, wheelchair tennis and other Paralympic sports, opportunities to do so at school are limited. Our young people suggested mainstream schools and local clubs should work together to share facilities and equipment.'

The charity manifesto adds that while it's fantastic children now have so many sporting role models, they also want disabled people to be more visible in other areas such as in media roles like TV presenting, in fashion, the arts and politics.

While some progress has been made in wheelchair access on public transport, they would also like more to be done in this area.

Hannah explains: 'We should be able to get on a train like everyone but if you're in a wheelchair you have to phone ahead before your journey to make sure there are ramps.

I've had loads of problems over the years on public transport. I start to feel like a pain asking for ramps all the time and sometimes I get forgotten and miss my stop as I'm left on the carriage.

'Buses often only have one space for wheelchairs so if I'm going out with a friend who is also in a wheelchair we have to get different buses.'

Whizz-Kidz chief executive Ruth Owen said the charity hopes improvements can continue to be made in the coming years.

'The London Paralympics shone a spotlight on the talent, skill and ambition of disabled people. However it will be a hugely missed opportunity if we don’t capitalise on the legacy of the Games - and not just to create more access to sport, but to offer greater opportunity for young disabled people across all areas of society,' she said.

'The young wheelchair users we speak to tell us they face invisible and visible barriers every day. It’s essential to keep on challenging these and make an enduring difference.'

She very rarely puts a foot wrong these days when it comes to her outfit choices, and Holly Candy is clearly doing whatever it takes to maintain her fashionista reputation.

The pretty brunette let an airline aide push along her numerous cases so she could focus all her attention on looking good as she arrived back in London after flying in from Los Angeles.

Rather than taking charge of the luggage trolley, Holly instead concentrated on carrying her stunning black leather Celine handbag.

Speaking previously about her sense of style, Holly told New Zealand's Cosmopolitan magazine: 'Structure is really flattering, so a great jacket is a fantastic investment that can make everything else look really smart, even the basics, or cheapies underneath.

A six-year-old transgender child is fighting alongside her parents for the right to be recognized as a girl at school.

Coy Mathis, who was born male but identifies as female, was barred from using the girl’s restroom at Eagleside Elementary School in Colorado in December.

On a special edition of the Katie show her mother and father told how they are now pursuing legal action because they want their child 'to have the same opportunities as all of the other children.'

The Mathis' case is the first to challenge restrictions on a transgender person’s bathroom use under Colorado’s anti-discrimination law.

Kathryn Mathis, who has five children under the age of eight, said that Coy was 18-months old when she started being drawn towards 'everything girl'.

Some of her favorite items included a fairy flower dress with a matching tutu and a Dora the Explorer bathing suit.

'It was starting to be obvious to us that Coy was really uncomfortable being a boy.

'He wanted to know when we were going to take him to the doctor so that they would give him girl parts so that his body would be a girl,' Mrs Mathis recalled.

It reached breaking-point when Coy refused to leave the house because she didn't want to change into boys' clothes.

A psychologist confirmed that Coy was transgender and when she was four-years old her parents let her 'be who she was' and she made the transition from boy to girl.

Today she looks like any other girl her age, dressed in cute dresses with her blonde hair styled in a shoulder-length cut.

She describes her favorite color as pink and her bedroom is littered with dolls and stuffed toys.

Mrs Mathis said the change in Coy after she transitioned 'was just amazing... The anxiety went away, the depression went away... all of a sudden she wanted to go play at parks.'

Initially Coy's school was very understanding.

'She would use the girl's restrooms, she would be called a girl, she would go in the girl's lines,' Mrs Mathis said.

But in December, a year after making the transition at school, the Fountain-Fort Carson School District informed Coy's parents that she would be barred from using the girl's restrooms after the winter break. 

'It came out the Coy was no longer going to be able to use the girl's restroom, we didn't know why'

Explaining the chain of events Coy's father  Jeremy said: 'We got a call one evening, it was the principal and he said he wanted to set up a meeting with us to discuss options for Coy's future use of the restroom.

'It came out the Coy was no longer going to be able to use the girl's restroom and they were going to require her to be using the boy's room or the staff bathroom or the bathroom for the sick children.

'We didn't know why... we had no idea where this was coming from.'

After receiving the news the Mathis' took all of their children out of Eagleside Elementary School and filed a complaint with the state's civil rights division.

Michael Silverman of the Transgender Legal Defense & Education Fund, who is representing the Mathis family said: 'By forcing Coy to use a different bathroom than all the other girls, Coy’s school is targeting her for stigma, bullying and harassment.'

Coy will be home-schooled until the issue is resolved.

Mrs Mathis told the Denver Post: 'It's important for us to talk about this, because a lot of people have been so afraid to be their true selves for so long.

'We want to help create a society where it's OK to be who you are.'
