Marvin Humes struggles to get into his £150k sports car... and that's even before the baby arrives

He’s been playing the doting husband over the last few weeks, chauffeuring his pregnant wife around in his Mercedes SLS, which is worth £150,000, as she promotes The Saturdays' latest single.

And on Friday, showing there’s just no separating boys from their toys Marvin Humes was spotted leaving Rochelle at a spa so he could take his shiny red sports car for a spin.

But as the JLS singer tried to climb into his low seated, gullwing door car, he appeared to be struggling, relying on a bystander to pass him his things once he got settled… creating a picture that isn’t boding well for when a baby is thrown into the mix.

The 28-year-old, who usually has a cool pop star persona, looked clumsy as he tried to get in his vehicle while carrying three phones and a wad of cash.

Giving up, the singer turned to a doorman nearby and handed him his stuff so he could get into the impractical vehicle. 

While Marvin is clearly a big fan of his car the fact that he can barely climb in it by himself, suggests it may not be the most practical vehicle when he also has a child to contend with.

Despite his uncool entrance into the car, Marvin did look stylish in a pair of black trousers with a black and grey striped top.

He completed his look with a pair of black trainers with stud detail.

The scene comes just a couple of days after his wife Rochelle, who is heavily pregnant, looked uncomfortable as she lowered herself into the vehicle.

The couple, who will welcome their first child into the world in May, will no doubt trade it in for something more suitable, or get a another car for the family in time for that. 

After a busy few days for Rochelle, the pair enjoyed some time at a spa so the pregnant singer could recuperate before her promotional duties continued.

However on Friday, Marvin appeared to leave Rochelle at the spa, as he headed to Essex to join Aston Merrygold for a night out at Funky Mojoes in Essex.

Home time: The lads were spotted cramming into a car to head home, all looking a touch bleary eyed

The singers left in the early hours of Saturday morning looking a little bleary eyed, after celebrating Marvin’s birthday which was earlier in the week. 

On his actual birthday he had a very low-key celebration taking his wife for lunch before she had to return to work.

Later that day Rochelle opened up to the MailOnline about her pregnancy: 'I’m learning new things every day. It’s all good, we’re just so excited like any parents-to-be are. When I'm on stage I forget I'm pregnant half the time.'
