As a Formula One racing driver he's known for driving fast cars.
But Lewis Hamilton, 28, got behind the wheel of a rather different vehicle this weekend.
The sportsman took command of a golf buggy and took celebrity passengers Simon Cowell and Ant and Dec for a ride while shooting this weekend's episode of Saturday Night Takeaway.
A different kind of joyride: Lewis looks pleased to be driving a golf cart rather than a racing car as a happy And and Dec hand out the sides while Simon Cowell sits in the front
The television presenters, who celebrated reaching the top of the mid-week charts with their 1994 hit Let's Get Ready To Rhumble this week, looked as if they were in good spirits with the Geordie due hanging out the side of the vehicle.
They looked smart in their suit jackets and white shirts which they opted to wear for their prime-time Saturday night show.
And while Lewis may have been out of his comfort zone driving such a simple vehicle, he appeared pleased to be joining in the fun and beamed as he sat behind the wheel.
Practice makes perfect: Ant and Dec appear to be having a great time as they rehearse earlier in the day with Lewis while a member of the crew stands in for Simon Cowell
And and Dec, who were once known as pop stars under the names of their Byker Grove characters PJ and Duncan, have enjoyed a surprise return to pop this week after their song Let's Get Ready To Rhumble saw a spike in digital sales following their performance of the track on last weekend's Saturday Night Takeaway.
And it seems a host of celebrity guests are pleased to see them succeed once again.
In addition to Lewis Hamilton's support on the show, Simon Cowell toasted the chaps with a beer in a pub close to the ITV television studios in London.
The great escape: The four men jump from the golf buggy as they reach their destination during this weekend's episode of Saturday Night Takeaway
On the run: And and Dec enthusiastically jog along either side of Lewis Hamilton but Simon Cowell calmly walks behind with his hands in his pockets
Stepping out: Ant and Dec looked more casual earlier in the day as they rehearsed for their ITV show
Cheers! Simon looks pleased to be joining Ant and Dec in the pub as he soaks up the party atmosphere on this weekend's show
He was even seen singing along to their song as the credits rolled at the end of the show.
And Canadian crooner Michael Buble also paid tribute to And and Dec by rapping along to the popular hit while surrounding by a crowd of revelers in the bar.
Ant and Dec will find out if they have scored their first number one with Let's Get Ready To Rhumble when the official chart is announced this afternoon.
Speaking about the surprise turn of events on ITV's Daybreak this week, Ant said: 'It was a joke. We were fans of The Big Reunion anyway, so we were going to do something with them at the end of the show.
'And then we realised that we didnât kind of have enough to fill what the End of the Show, Show, normally runs to. And we thought, "Well, we could possibly dust off the old baseball caps and give it a go for a laugh."
'And the production team on Saturday Night Takeaway w ent mad, saying, "We remember that song, letâs do it!â" So we thought, "It would be a bit of a laugh then, weâll do it."
'We never expected we would be number one in the mid-week charts.'
All-star cast: Ashley Roberts joined Lewis Hamilton at the pub across the road from the ITV studios in London for the episode of Saturday Night Takeaway
Turning the tables: Simon sings along as the show credits role while he is usually seen judging singers on shows such as The X Factor and Britain's Got Talent
Taking a new route: Micheal, who is known for singing pop music and classic hits, raps along to Let's Get Ready To Rhumble at the end of Saturday Night Takeaway this weekend
