Rachel Zoe's eponymous Bravo show is apparently failing to pull in the audience that it once did.

The celebrity stylist-turned-designer's once popular reality series returned for its fifth season, after a one year hiatus, this month.

But according to Bravo Ratings viewership is already down 30per cent from the previous installment.

The site states: 'So far this season is trending down -30.32per cent for total audience and a larger -36.36per cent in the important 18 to 49-year-old demo.

The first episode of The Rachel Zoe Project Season 5, which debuted at 9pm on March 6, pulled in an audience of 850,000, but by the second week only 651,000 tuned in.

However Ms Zoe isn't the only one suffering from dwindling ratings.

Her ex-assistant, Brad Goreski, who launched his own spin-off reality show, It’s A Brad, Brad World, last January is also down on viewership.

The second run, which premiered this month on Bravo directly after Ms Zoe's at 10pm, suffered a near 30per cent drop in viewers from the first to the second episode.

The Rachel Zoe Project Season 5 features Ms Zoe, 41, her husband Rodger Berman, and their two-year-old son, Skyler as they go about life in Los Angeles, California.

Episodes focus on Ms Zoe balancing motherhood and her fashion career. They also show how she and her family deal with life in the spotlight.

The third season of Ms Zoe's show, which aired in 2010, attracted record ratings.

It averaged 1.1 million total viewers, which was up 31per cent from the second series.

After the fourth series closed in October 2011, it was rumored that the NBC Universal-owned cable network, Bravo, was going to pull the plug on the show.

But in September 2012 it was announced that a fifth season had been commissioned.

Despite a somewhat rocky start, Bravo Ratings, highlights that Ms Zoe's show still has time to climb out of the ratings slump.

'Whether the one year hiatus will hurt ratings remains to be seen,' it writes.
