Holly Fulton, London's queen of the 3D print, dazzles the fashion pack with standout study in crimson, winter white and black

She counts Samantha Cameron as one of her biggest fans and it’s easy to see why the first lady of fashion loves Holly Fulton’s designs.

Her punk chic A/W13 show at the ME hotel on The Strand this morning was inspired by 70s art school rock chicks and the Patti Smith soundtrack, and was shown on bright red runway with tattooed biker jackets and some seriously fluffy jumpers kicking off the third day of London Fashion Week.

Maxi dresses with voluminous skirts were adorned with pixels and her iconic 3D graphic prints.

There were angry tigers and bears, huge cats and venomous snakes splashed across tees and her use of birds and lilies intertwined through prison style fencing gave her clothes a real bad girl edge.

Stand out pieces such as a neat dungaree dress and leather trimmed boyfriend coat were designed to ensure even the plainest of girls stood out at a groupie gathering.

Each look was completed with winkle-pickers because which groupie has time for heels? Not Holly Fulton’s girl.

Speaking to MailOnline about the Holly Fulton girl, the designer said: 'She is someone who isn’t shy and isn’t afraid of wearing things that are quite graphical like statement jewellery.'

And the jewellery most certainly made a statement. By combining burnt black wood and powder blue agate, the complete look was dark and almost dangerous but seriously punk glam.

The Holly Fulton show was sponsored by Glacéau vitaminwater, meaning the models sipped on softies rather than the champagne... oh so virtuous

Models wore their hair super sleek, lips were blood red (of course) and a Lara Stone-esque faux gap tooth was drawn on using pigment.

After the show, Holly said: 'The idea was groupies showing their love for a band marred with Victorian symbols of love and that’s where the animals came into it.

'Then there are the lilies which I mixed with embellishments to give these references a modern edge.'

Speaking about her strong use of red, she said: 'I’ve never used red before so I said, why not? It’s surprisingly different.

'I didn’t use any black last season so I wanted this season to be a real contrast in terms of being darker, a lot sexier with a harder edge to it.'

She went on to discuss the excitement of fashion week, saying: 'My favourite thing about London Fashion Week is seeing what everyone else has been doing this year.

'It’s a very close knit group of designers in London so it’s really exciting to see what they’ve all been up to.'

She added: 'It’s fun to challenge yourself with something different each time.'
