It was only two days ago that Hugh Grant revealed he has become a father for the second time.
And it seems the new addition has brought out the paternal side in him.
The Notting Hill actor was the star guest at the Cloud Atlas gala screening in London on Monday evening.
New father: Hugh Grant emerges in public for the first time since announcing he has become a father for the second time this weekend
Fatherly instinct: He was happy to meet and carry two-year-old Tyler at the gala screening of his movie Cloud Atlas on Monday evening
The 52-year-old showed off his fatherly side as he met two-year-old girl Tyler who was at the screening with her parents.
With his childless bachelor days behind him, Hugh seemed happy to pick up the cute blonde girl as he greeted fans outside the event at the Curzon Mayfair Cinema.
Grant, who already has 18-month-old daughter Tabitha with Tinglan Hong, recently welcomed a son with the 33-year-old Chinese actress.
Lapping it up: He was promoting his latest film where he revealed it 'feels great' to become a father for the second time
Content: He revealed the news on Saturday via Twitter as he revealed he'd welcomed a son who's brother to his daughter
And seeming in the family friendly spirit he told BANG showbiz outside the screening: 'It feels great, thank you.'
Hugh only confirmed the news on his Twitter page on Saturday, when he wrote: 'Am thrilled my daughter now has a brother. Adore them both to an uncool degree. They have a fab mum.'
It is not known if the actor is still in a relationship with Tinglan. After confirming the birth of their daughter in September 2011, Hugh described their relationship as a "fleeting affair".
Greetings: He kissed co-director Lana Wachowski on the cheek as they reunited at the Curzon Mayfair
On form: He grinned form ear to ear as he happily posed for photographs for the waiting press
Creative crew: Co-directors Andy and Lana Wachowski and Tom Tykwer arrived on the red carpet ready to show off the screening
However, he later praised Tinglan, saying: 'She is a good person, a nice person; funny, clever, great mother.'
He certainly seemed on top of the world at the bash as he smiled widely for the waiting press as he emerged for the first time since announcing the news at the weekend.
He went for his usual smart but slightly scruffy look in a suit with an open neck shirt.
Hugh was joined at the event by co-star Ben Whishaw, while co-directors Andy and Lana Wachowski and Tom Tykwer were also in attendance, posing for pictures on the red carpet.
Man of the moment: Ben Whishaw grinned as he joined his cast and crew at the event on Monday night
Suited and booted: James Darcy and Tom Hiddlestone were also present in their dapper outfits
Ready to mingle: Jim Broadbent arrived in good time for the film as he joined Hugh Grant at the bash
Hugh, who once dated Elizabeth Hurley and socialite Jemima Khan, previously admitted that becoming a father has made him feel like a better person.
He said: '(People) said never let anyone know, but the baby period is not that exciting. But I am excited, actually. I thought, well, I'll bluff through - but very little bluffing has been required.
'I like my daughter very much. Fantastic. Has she changed my life? I'm not sure. Not yet. Not massively, no. But I'm absolutely thrilled to have had her, I really am.
'And I feel a better person. There probably is some truth that one of our main functions on the planet is to reproduce, because it feels like more of an achievement than it should do.'
