The Saturdays are doing their very best to try and crack America but this might be a step too far.

The girl group emerged after a short stop indoors looking like they had over done it somewhat with the fake tan on Thursday.

Frankie Sandford and Una Healy were by far the biggest culprits as they looked a little orange in Manhattan, New York.

The girls arrived in the area dressed and styled better earlier in the day even though they were wearing very little clothing for the winter weather.

Una led the way in a simple black dress which she teamed with black tights and a shiny silver jacket.

Frankie was dressed a little more sensibly for the cold temperatures and wore leather shorts with tights, a blouse and a thick but stylish jacket with fur lined boots.

Orange attack: Frankie emerged from the building looking a little too tanned on both her legs and face

Irish beauty: Una was in danger of having her fiery red hair blend in with skin tone

Rock and roll: Una changed her demure tights and plain black dress for something a bit more adventurous

Accompanied as always by Rochelle Humes, Mollie King and Vanessa White, the group disappeared into a building but emerged very differently.

Whatever happened to them inside the building was not good, because Frankie and Una emerged with too much fake tan on and their legs on show.

Miss Sandford looked particularly fake tanned to the max as her face and legs showed strong orange hues.

Smiles better: Mollie King kept on her chic double breasted blue jacket but changed her skirt and had her hair done

Best foot forward: The often Gothic dressed Vanessa White looked nice in a grey T-shirt and black dress

Una did no better and was in serious danger of having her long fiery hair blend in too well with her body colour.

Mollie also made a quick change and switched a plain black mini skirt for an attention grabbing pleated silver skirt as she strutted across the street.

The girls must have felt like they were making an impression on the American public as a small cluster of fans waited outside the building to see them.

Final day: The girls later went on to perform an intimate gig but pregnant Rochelle kept out the limelight

Style queens: Mollie switched up her style once again and looked great in a leather skirt with stud detail while Una showed off her fabulous figure

Well positioned: Vanessa was ready to repel any unwanted attention with her spiked bra

Unfortunately, their momentum will stop as they are due to fly back to the UK on Saturday afternoon.

Frankie tweeted: 'Loved NYC but got to admit. I'm missing my UK. Home tomorrow. Doggies and wayne. And bday dinner with the friends! Happy girl xxxx'. (sic)

Feeling the vibe: Frankie led the girls in their dance routines throughout the night
