Horror story: David and Ravayna Coe have revealed how everything went wrong in the run-up to their wedding day in New Orleans, Louisiana, last October
Mrs Coe, who describes herself as a 'bit of a perfectionist' said during a trailer for Wedding Confidential (a one-hour special set to air on ABC): It was not a good day.'
Detailing the hotel she said that there was 'no lawn' and 'no bushes' but managers told the couple that 'they would be happy to put down a green carpet'.
To make matters worse when the wedding flowers arrived around one third of them were 'completely dead'.
Off to a bad start: Mr and Mrs Coe said that their ordeal started when they checked into a New Orleans hotel, three days before their wedding - when they arrived they found it in a state of disrepair
Unlucky: The day before her wedding Mrs Coe smashed into a door frame and bumped her forehead
Mr Coe also found that his grey three-piece suit had been ordered in the wrong size and was three sizes too big
Hoping that a good night's sleep would make her feel better Mrs Coe went to bed.
'I wore a gown that was a lot of gown... I said, ''David, I'm going to pass out''
But on the way to her room she smashed into a door frame and bumped her forehead, where a bruise soon appeared.
On the morning of her wedding Mrs Coe woke to find that a heatwave had set in.
As she posed for photographs in her intricate white gown she suddenly started to feel faint.
'I wore a gown that was a lot of gown. I said, ''David, I'm going to pass out,'' she recalled.
'They unzipped my dress and put ice packs. It's 15 minutes before my wedding.'
One day of their lives: The Coes have now put the disastrous event behind them
But it seems that the couple, now happily married, have put the disastrous event behind them.
Mrs Coe added: 'It's one day. And this is the rest of our lives. So, in the grand scale of things, what are you going to do?'
