Thanks for social-networking and photo-sharing sites such as Twitter and Instagram, celebrities are inviting us for a closer look into their privileged lifestyles.
And at Sunday's Screen Actors' Guild Awards, a few A-list stars shared their own experiences from the night with their fans online.
Avid Tweeter Sofia Vergara was particularly busy, finding time to upload candid shots in between Modern Family picking up an award.

In one shot on her WhoSay page, the Colombian actress, 40, cuddled up to her young co-star Aubrey Anderson-Emmons.
Both Sofia and the adorable five-year-old - who plays her step-granddaughter Lily in the hit comedy - were both wearing white dresses and furry jackets.
Captioning the photo, which saw little Aubrey sitting on Sofia's lap on a plush red sofa, the actress wrote: 'Matching coats.'

Aubrey, who joined the cast of Modern Family in 2011, also had some of her own candid shots during the ceremony on her own Twitter page, which is run by her real-life mother Amy Anderson.
As well as posing for snaps with her younger co-stars, Sofia also sidled up to her fiance Nick Loeb.
Following Modern Family's win for Best Ensemble Cast in a Comedy, it appeared Sofia was certainly in high spirits given the remainder of her WhoSay photos posted online throughout the night.

For the first time, the Screen Actors' Guild started their own Instagram account to give a vintage-look to their insider images throughout the evening.
