They've never topped any best dressed lists, but that all might be about to change for TOWIE sisters Sam and Billie Faiers.
The stylish pair pulled it out of the bag as they hit the red carpet at the National Television Awards on Wednesday night, stealing the show in elegant floor-length gowns.
Ditching their usual Essex style, the reality stars opted for old-school Hollywood glamour as they arrived at the O2, looking chic and on-trend.
Hollywood glamour: TOWIE's Sam Faiers goes all out in a floor-length, black gown at the National Television Awards
Sam looked like she was channeling Marilyn Monroe in a sultry black, sequined dress, which draped along the floor behind her.
She added a splash of red lipstick and wore her hair straight and with soft flicks at the end, posing for photos with a dapper-looking Joey Essex.
Her sister Billie looked demure but stylish in a floor-length grey dress, which featured a lace top and a revealing split up the front.
Stylish couple: Sam and boyfriend Joey Essex cosy up as they pose for photographs
Essex glam: Billie Faiers and castmate Lucy Mecklenburgh wow in stylish gowns on the red carpet
Modest: Billie ditches her usual revealing style in favour of a modest split at the front of her gown
Backless wonder: Sam shows off her bare back in the glamorous dress as she makes sure that no one stands on it
She wore her blonde hair in a retro beehive and also wore a slightly darker shade of red lipstick than her sister.
Fellow TOWIE star Jessica Wright also went for a long gown, but wore hers backless and bright white, ensuring that all eyes were on her.
There was a Grecian twist to her outfit as she added touches of gold and wore her dark hair in a high top knot.
Grecian goddess: Jessica Wright also opts for a floor-length, backless gown as she shows up at the awards
Talk about a PDA: Sam and Joey share a joke as they kiss in front of the cameras
New hair do: Lucy Mecklenburgh shows off her new bob haircut as she stays close to Mario Falcone
Unflattering: Gemma Collins wears an unflattering blue draped dress, drowning her figure
Unfortunately, bubbly cast-mate Gemma Colllins didn't look quite as chic as her fellow stars, wearing an unflattering and eye-catching billowing blue dress.
Lucy Mecklenbugh debuted her newly cut bob as she showed off her beaded, blue gown, staying close to boyfriend Mario Falcone.
Melanie Sykes also on the red carpet ahead of the evening's ceremony, wearing an elegant, Grecian style dress.
Elegant: Melanie Sykes goes grey in a draped, Grecian-style dress and drop earrings
On-screen couple: EastEnders stars Jake Wood and Jo Joyner cuddle up before heading inside
All in black: EastEnders star Shona McGarty looks stylish in a floor-length black dress, opting for nude lips and smokey eyes
Real-life love: Jacqueline Jossa and Tony Discipline wrap their arms around each other before taking their seats at the O2
The EastEnders cast also seemed to have gone all out, hoping to pick up the award for Best Soap again at the ceremony.
Real-life couple and cast-mates Jacqueline Jossa and Tony Discipline wrapped their arms around each other before taking their seats at the O2.
Their friend Shona McGarty posed by herself in a tight, backless black dress, opting for nude lips and smokey eyes.
Different styles: Stars Jacqueline Jossa and Michelle Heaton go for different looks for their night out at the London arena
Good friends: Presenters Christine Bleakley and Holly Willoughby both get their red carpet looks just right
Skin-tight: Both Christine and Holly show off their figures in clinging, floor-length dresses
Tulisa kick-started the fashion fail parade by showing off her nude Spanx in her floaty white dress.
Newly solo singer Tulisa, 24, opted for a plunging white dress with a ruched waist and daring middle split which on first looked showed off her curvy figure to perfection.
Spanx alert! Not even Tulisa's plunging neckline could distract attention from her fashion fail (and the awards haven't even started yet)
It was all going so well... Tulisa tried to keep her almost knee-length slimming aid covered... unsuccessfully
With her dark hair pulled demurely off her face in a long curly ponytail the X Factor judge almost pulled off the ice cool look.
That is, until she pulled open her dress to reveal her almost knee length Spanx.
Spanx are a favourite of the curvy celebrities, but it is a surprise size 8 Tulisa opted for the slimming aid, although perhaps she was wary of the brightly lit ceremony ahead.
Nice lipstick! Tulisa accesorised her all white look with some perfect pink lipstick
Tulisa does demure... and fails: The former N-Dubz star failed to pull off an all white number
The X Factor is nominated for best talent show so former N-Dubz star Tulisa obviously wanted to look her best, although for the rest of the evening she may want to consider not pulling her split too far open.
WAG Tulisa looked like she was on her way to the swanky bash alone, leaving footballer beau Danny Simpson at home.
Meanwhile in the soap awards Coronation Street will be going head to head with EastEnders, Emmerdale and Hollyoaks for the coveted Serial Drama prize.
All fine from the neck up! Tulisa looked smug as she left her house in Camden for the awards, shame she didn't look down
Two Coronation Street stars, Alan Halsall (Tyrone Dobbs) and Michelle Keegan (Tina McInytre) are competing in the Serial Drama Performance category.
In the Newcomer category a further Corrie star is up â" Natalie Gumede who plays Kirsty Soames.
Last year of course the soap took home Best Serial Drama, so the cast are no doubt hoping to be triumphant once again â" voting will remain open for the prize throughout the live show.
Nice shoes, shame about the Spankx! A slim Tulsa shows off her look as she heads out for the evening
Emmerdale star Fiona Wade spoke on Daybreak on Wednesday morning about why she thinks her soap should be victorious this year.
She said: 'I really hope people vote. I think Emmerdale is really well deserved this year with the live episode, the 40th anniversary, and of course we've got Liam Fox up for 'Best Newcomer'.
'He's such a great guy and such a great actor. I really hope everyone votes'
Oops! Tulisa looks like she may have realised her fashion faux pas, luckily before she hit the red carpet
Meanwhile the cobble street stars werenât the only ones making their way to London.
Stephanie Waring, who plays Cindy Cunningham in Hollyoaks was also spotted at Manchester train station, carrying a couple of food bags with her as well as her suitcase.
Organisers of the 18th annual event will celebrate the success of the Olympics and Paralympics with a special award and will celebrate favourite moments from the sporting spectacular.
Prizes will be handed out at a star-studded ceremony at London's O2 Arena on January 23 and televised on ITV1 at 7.30pm.
