She's been playing Betty in Mad Men since 2007, so it's understandable that some aspects of the icy character have seeped over into her real life.
And as January Jones arrived at the Miu Miu show during Paris Fashion Week on Wednesday, it appeared that she had taken more than a few fashion tips from her on-screen alter-ego.
January went for a retro look with her blonde hair backcombed and kept in place with a black hairband, adding to the vintage feel of her look by flicking out the bottoms of her bob.
Vintage style: January Jones sported a retro look with backcombed blonde hair at the Miu Miu Paris Fashion Week show
From fantasy to reality: January's backcombed do and headband would make her character Betty Francis proud
Am I missing something? January was somewhat excluded from the conversation as Zoe Saldana, Rebecca Hall and Renée Zellweger shared a joke on the front row of the show
Making friends: January and Zoe pose together on the front row as they wait for the show to begin
But while Betty would no doubt have approved of January's old-school look, she most probably would have been less than impressed with January's choice of ensemble for the event - a pair of thigh-skimming black shorts.
January showed off her enviably long legs in the shorts, but maintained her modesty elsewhere by wearing her pale pink and black shirt buttoned up to the neck.
Mother-of-one January finished off her outfit with a pair of black heels, and was seen covering up in a chic oversized black coat and sunglasses as she left her hotel in Paris to head to the show alongside her sister Gina.

Quick change: January removed her coat inside the show to properly display her ensemble
Girls together: January chats to the other stars on the front row as they gear up to see the latest collection
Awkward moment? January is left sitting on her own, as Zoe turns her back to chat to the others
Despite the immense success of Mad Men, which has won awards aplenty during its run so far, January admitted in a recent interview with Britain's Glamour magazine that the popularity of the programme is still a source of amazement to her and the rest of the cast.
She said: 'I remember the moment when I suddenly realised how big the show had become. I was in New York and a woman came up to me on the street and started telling me how sorry she was that Don, my husband in the show, was treating me so badly.
'She completely saw me as the character, not as me, which was really funny... if a little scary.
That's better: But January managed to include herself in a group shot alongisde (left to right) Du Juan and Lea Seydoux
Waiting for the show to begin: January and Renée were both happy to smile for the cameras before the show kicked off
Back to black: Zoe, Renee and Rebecca all wore plain ensembles for the fashion show
Quick snap: Zoe leaps up and puts her arms around January and the others so that they can have their photo taken
All eyes on the catwalk: The stars can't seem to drag their attention away from the models as they emerge from backstage
Lightening the mood: January and Zoe share a joke as they giggle together while looking at the camera
'Thatâs when I knew it had become so much more than just a TV show. It was a cultural phenomenon. Fashions were changing as a result of the show. It was like the â60s were back.
'I donât think any of us thought the show would have gone on this long. When weâre working on the set, weâre kind of in a bubble, and then when we go outside to award ceremonies or whatever, itâs always a "pinch-me" moment seeing how well received the show is.'
January wasn't the only familiar face at the Miu Miu show on Wednesday, and was joined on the front row by stars including Zoe Saldana, Renée Zellweger and Rebecca Hall.
Impressed: The stars clap at the show's finale, looking impressed by the latest collection
Taking it in: The star-studded front row watched as the colourful and quirky designs made their way down the catwalk
Pretty in patterns: Polkadots and stripes were among the popular options on the catwalk
