It's been 12 years since the tragic death of Joey Essex's mother Tina.
And it appears the pain is still very raw for The Only Way Is Essex star as Mother's Day approaches.
In a sneak peek at Wednesday night's episode of the ITV2 reality show, the 22-year-old is seen breaking down in his girlfriend Sam Faiers' arms as he speaks about his mum.

March is always a difficult time for Joey and his older sister Frankie as they mark Tina's birthday and Mother's Day.
Tina committed suicide at the age of 37 when Joey was just 10 years old and his sister Frankie was 13, after struggling with depression.
In Wednesday's episode, Joey looks through photos of his mother and starts to cry.

He says: 'I just wish I had a mum. I just miss her. If I see a picture it just upsets me.'
Showing their relationship is stronger than ever, Joey asks Sam to visit his mother's grave with him for the first time.
In an interview with Now magazine in 2011, Joey recalled his confusion over his mother's suicide at such a young age.

He said: 'I remember opening the door and Dad was standing there. He picked me up and said, "Mumâs gone." It was the biggest shock of everyoneâs life.
'But I didnât really believe it, to be fair. I was upset and crying, but after a while I thought, "Nah, sheâll come back."
'For the first five years I never believed it. Iâve never known how she did it, but I knew she killed herself. My sister Frankie knows how but I donât want to.'
Joey's emotional scenes are in Wednesday night's episode of TOWIE on ITV2 at 10pm.
