Just when you thought there couldnât be any more bizarre pet products left to add to the pampered pooch market, here comes the first ever dog breakfast cereal to prove you wrong.
Made from a blend of fresh chicken and turkey, oats, bananas, apples and probiotic yogurt all baked together the cereal looks remarkably like one you might pour for yourself in the morning.
The £7.99 Breakfast Crunch from Lily's Kitchen is even packaged in a traditional cereal box.
The golden baked clusters will set your canine friend up for a good day (and cost you a bit more than your own cornflakes)
According to a survey by Pets At Home, a 66 per cent of pet owners will spend the same amount, or even more, on their pet than they would on a partner and this latest breakfast food is just the tip of the iceberg.
From designer cashmere to adorable fancy dress pet fashion is a booming business, and gourmet snacks, from cookies to cakes, have become mainstream.
Unlike any other pet food 'Breakfast Crunch' contains traditional breakfast ingredients that can usually be found on human breakfast tables.Â
The cereal is the brainchild of Lilyâs Kitchen, an organic dog food company that already sells products which use ingredients such as lamb, butternut squash, blueberries and lentils.

Founder Henrietta Morrison says: 'Breakfast is my favourite meal of the day and after I've taken Lily (my boarder terrier) out for a walk in the morning I get her all excited about getting back home by saying 'Breakfast!' and she heads straight for home.
'I then thought wouldn't it be great to have a specific recipe that would be perfect for breakfasts - a recipe would incorporate all my favourite ingredients, which fuels my dayâ¦to be honest our dogs are just as active as us nowadays so itâs only fair they start their day with a healthy breakfast too.'
'Lily is a very popular dog and has many , many friends who held taste-test the cereal!
'It has been a huge hit so far: owners love the fact that there's a special breakfast cereal for their dog.
'We sold out of our first batch in the first week so had to get busy baking some more. It's quite a tricky recipe to make as each nugget is individually baked in trays - a truly artisan product!'
Gourmet food for your pets is everywhere. These tantalizing treats are Pupcakes available from daisydogcakes.co.uk
